Haven Note Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Haven Note (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. App Description

Haven Note is a completely offline diary application that lets you create, store, and manage journal entries with text, photos, videos, audio, tags, mood tracking, and app lock protection. Voice journals are recorded and played back entirely on your device.

3. Licence to Use

3.1 Licence Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

3.2 Licence Restrictions

You may not:

• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or alter any copyright or trademark notices
• Use the App for any commercial purpose
• Distribute, sell, or transfer the App to third parties

4. User Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all diary entries, media, tags, and moods you create in the App.

4.2 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, and backups of your content.

5. Privacy & Data

The App is designed to work fully offline. No data is uploaded to servers, and we cannot access your content. For more detail, please review the Privacy Policy.

When you use the voice journal feature, the App requests microphone access only after you actively start recording. Audio files remain on your device, and we never collect, analyse, or upload your recordings.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or compatibility with every device.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including data loss.

8. Data Backup

Because all information remains on your device, you are responsible for backing up your diary. Use the export feature regularly to avoid loss.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

10. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms as features evolve. Updated versions are published in the App or on the official website. Continued use means you accept the changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the developer’s jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
